All parts are manufactured from pre-preg Carbon (impregnated Carbon fabrics) using vacuum bagging. This guarantees high strength and low weight. Attention to detail is the most distinctive element. At Ilmberger, the fabrics run perfectly straight, the seams between the Carbon layers are barely visible, there are no unattractive black spots in the Carbon, and efforts are even made to ensure that the weave patterns flow seamlessly into one another across the fairing parts. Ilmberger uses a plastic coating to finish its Carbon parts, providing protection against scratches and UV radiation. A layer of clear lacquer is applied over this plastic coating and polished after production for a mirror-smooth high-gloss finish.
