Shield an exposed oil filter from dirt and light stone chips with a model-specific aluminum cover
On some motorcycles, the oil filter is located low and clearly visible on the front or underside of the engine block. This makes it vulnerable to direct impact from splashing dirt and small stones. An oil filter cover provides an additional outer layer around this vulnerable spot while giving the engine block a neat finish.
This collection features model-specific oil filter covers and protectors. The CNC Racing version for the Ducati Diavel V4 mounts around the oil filter and combines a sturdy aluminum construction with a visibly machined design.
An oil filter cover is not a replacement oil filter and does not take over filtration or sealing. The original or suitable aftermarket oil filter remains installed beneath the protective cap.
An oil filter housing is relatively thin and must contain oil under pressure. Direct damage can therefore lead to oil leakage. An outer cover helps prevent normal road dirt and small stones from hitting the filter directly.
The cover provides additional protection but cannot guarantee the filter remains undamaged in every severe impact or fall. Its effectiveness depends on the direction and force of the impact.
The CNC-machined shape and anodized finish also make the cover a visible design element. Depending on the product, you can choose a subtle black version or a more striking red or gold accent.
Optionally, combine the color with an oil filler cap, engine block cover, or other anodized parts. Be sure to check that all parts are technically suitable for the exact motorcycle model.
Use all supplied mounting hardware and ensure the cover does not rub directly against the oil filter or surrounding hoses. The construction must not deform the filter.
During every oil change, the cover may need to be removed to replace the filter. Then check the cover and fasteners for damage and reinstall everything according to the specified torque settings.
