Wind Deflectors

Wind Deflectors in Carbon for Airflow Management

Wind Deflectors help to direct the airflow around the fairing, cockpit, and rider more precisely. They can reduce annoying wind and turbulence, thereby improving comfort during daily rides, commuting, and longer tours. In this collection, you will find wind deflectors for various motorcycles.

  • Direct riding wind more precisely along the motorcycle and rider
  • Can reduce turbulence around the upper body and helmet
  • Increase comfort during longer rides and highway use
  • Model-specific designs for a perfect fit
  • Available in different shapes, heights, and tints

Targeted Airflow Management Around Fairing and Cockpit

The airflow around a motorcycle is not only determined by the windshield. Riding wind can also be directed to the rider along the sides of the fairing, around the cockpit, and between the windshield and the tank. Wind Deflectors are designed to locally divert these airflows and guide them more controlled along the motorcycle.

Depending on their position, Wind Deflectors can mainly influence the airflow around the hands, arms, shoulders, or upper body. Some models are mounted directly next to the windshield, while others are placed lower on the fairing or on either side of the cockpit.

More Comfort During Longer Rides

Unsettled riding wind can become tiring during longer rides. By better guiding the airflow, Wind Deflectors can reduce the constant pressure and turbulence around the rider. This is especially noticeable during highway rides and on motorcycles with an upright seating position.

The final effect varies per motorcycle and rider. Factors such as body height, seating position, riding speed, and the installed windshield determine where the airflow ends up. Therefore, Wind Deflectors do not provide a completely wind-free riding experience but can noticeably smooth out the airflow distribution.

Model-Specific Wind Deflectors

Many Wind Deflectors are developed for a specific motorcycle model and match the shape of the original fairing or windshield. Consideration is given to available mounting points, steering angle, and space around cables, brake lines, and other components.

Always check the exact motorcycle model, year of manufacture, and version when ordering. Different model generations may have changes in the shape of the fairing or cockpit, making Wind Deflectors not directly interchangeable.

Different Tints and Designs

Wind Deflectors are available in clear, lightly tinted, and dark tinted versions. A clear Wind Deflector is less visually noticeable, while a dark version can give the cockpit and front of the motorcycle a sportier look.

Besides color, the shape can also vary. A higher or wider Wind Deflector does not automatically provide the best result for every rider. The ideal design depends on the position of the Wind Deflector, the shape of the windshield, and the airflow around the specific motorcycle.

Installation and Clearance Check

Model-specific Wind Deflectors are usually mounted with suitable brackets or on existing mounting points. Always follow the included installation instructions and tighten fasteners evenly. Over-tightening can cause stress in transparent or plastic parts.

After installation, check the full steering angle and ensure that the Wind Deflectors do not contact the levers, handguards, mirrors, or other fairing parts. Recheck the mounting after the first rides to ensure the Wind Deflectors remain securely and correctly installed.
