Suspension Modules for Conversion of Electronic Suspension
Prevent electronic error messages when the original semi-active suspension is replaced by a conventional system
Modern sport motorcycles may be equipped with electronically controlled front and rear suspension. The ECU continuously checks whether the associated actuators and electronic components are present. When these parts are removed during a track or suspension conversion, warnings and stored error codes can occur.
- Plug-and-play module for a specific suspension conversion
- Simulates the expected signal from the original suspension
- Helps prevent related Dashboard & Instrumentation messages
- Installation without permanent changes to the wiring harness
- The original electronic suspension can be reinstalled later
In this collection, you will find suspension modules for very specific applications. The current offering is focused on the Ducati Panigale V4S from model year 2025, when the original electronically controlled Öhlins suspension is replaced by conventional mechanical suspension.
What does a suspension eliminator do?
The eliminator is connected to the original electrical connection of the removed suspension component. The module then simulates the signal that the ECU expects from the original system.
This only resolves the electronic control part. The module itself does not adjust preload, compression damping, rebound damping, or ride height.
For conversion to conventional suspension
A suspension eliminator may be necessary when an electronic front fork or shock absorber is replaced by a conventional track or aftermarket version without electronic actuators.
The replacement suspension must be technically selected and tuned separately according to the motorcycle model, rider weight, and usage. The presence of an eliminator does not make any shock absorber or front fork suitable.
Model-specific electronics
The signals and control logic differ per motorcycle, model year, and ECU version. Therefore, choose only a module explicitly developed for the exact version of the motorcycle.
A module for the Ducati Panigale V4S from 2025 is not automatically suitable for earlier Panigale generations, a Panigale V4 without electronic suspension, or another Ducati model.
No influence on mechanical settings
The module does not change the operation of the installed springs and dampers. Sag, spring rate, ride height, and damping settings must be adjusted separately after the conversion.
Have such a conversion performed by a specialist experienced with electronics and motorcycle suspension. After installation, check the Dashboard & Instrumentation for warnings and read any stored error codes.
