Mirror Extenders for Better Rear Visibility on the Motorcycle
Move the original motorcycle mirrors upward and outward for a clearer view past your arms and shoulders
On many motorcycles, the original mirrors are positioned relatively close to the handlebars. As a result, the mirror reflection shows not only the traffic behind you but also a large part of your arms and shoulders. With model-specific Mirror Extenders, you can position the existing mirrors slightly higher and further outward without having to install completely different mirrors.
- Preserves the original motorcycle mirrors
- Provides a clearer line of sight past arms and shoulders
- Model-specific mounting on the original mirror points
- CNC-machined from lightweight aluminum
- Mirror Extenders from Evotech Performance
In this collection, you will find Evotech Performance Mirror Extenders for naked bikes, adventure motorcycles, touring motorcycles, and light allroads. In many versions, the original mirrors are positioned about 30 mm higher and 50 mm further outward.
The exact repositioning may vary per product. Always check the product specifications for the version that fits your motorcycle model.
Better Visibility Without Changing Mirrors
A Mirror Extender changes the position of the original mirror but retains the original mirror glass, shape, and factory appearance. This is especially practical if you are satisfied with the standard mirrors but your line of sight is partially blocked by your upper body.
The extra width can make it easier to see traffic directly behind the motorcycle. The final improvement depends on your body build, seating position, and the original mirror position.
Installation Between Mirror and Mounting Point
The adapters are placed between the original mounting point and the mirror. The mirror is then mounted in the new mounting point of the extender.
For the model-specific Evotech versions, the thread size, mounting direction, and shape are tailored to the respective motorcycle. The sets are fastened with suitable stainless steel bolts and do not require permanent modifications on compatible models.
Check Thread Size and Rotation Direction
Mirror connections can use left- or right-hand threads. The diameter and thread pitch also vary by brand and model. A Mirror Extender that visually fits is therefore not automatically technically suitable.
Always select the exact motorcycle model, version, and year of manufacture. Also, check if the motorcycle still has the original mirrors and mirror holders.
Adjusting and Checking
After installation, adjust both mirrors from your normal seating position. Tighten the fasteners securely according to the installation instructions, but avoid damaging the aluminum threads.
Check at full steering lock that the mirrors and extenders do not contact the windshield, hand guards, tank bag, or other cockpit parts. After the first ride, check again that all connections are secure.
