Engine Oil

Engine Oil for Reliable Lubrication and Engine CrashProtection

Choose the right viscosity and specification for your engine block, transmission, and clutch

Engine Oil not only lubricates the moving parts of the engine block. In many motorcycles, the same oil is also used for the gearbox and wet clutch. Therefore, the oil must withstand high RPMs, temperature fluctuations, and heavy mechanical stress. In this collection, you will find high-quality four-stroke Engine Oil for maintenance and sporty use.

  • Fully synthetic Engine Oil for modern four-stroke engines
  • Various viscosities for different applications
  • CrashProtection for engine block, transmission, and suitable wet clutches
  • Oils for sporty street use and circuit stress
  • Premium Engine Oil from Putoline

The range includes, among others, Putoline N-TECH PRO R+ and Ester Tech 4+. Depending on the product, you can choose viscosities such as 10W-40 and 15W-50 and packaging for full oil changes or targeted top-ups.

The most advanced oil is not automatically the right oil for every engine. The prescribed viscosity, API classification, and JASO specification from the engine manual always remain decisive.

What does 10W-40 or 15W-50 mean?

The first value describes the flow behavior at lower temperatures. The second value indicates how the oil behaves at high operating temperatures. A higher value is not automatically better; the lubrication, oil pressure, and internal tolerances of the engine block are tuned to a specific viscosity.

Therefore, do not use thicker or thinner oil solely based on driving style or outside temperature without checking which viscosities are allowed by the engine manufacturer.

JASO MA2 and the wet clutch

Many modern motorcycles use a wet clutch that runs in the same oil as the engine block. For this application, correct friction properties are important. Engine Oils with JASO MA2 are developed for motorcycles where the engine, transmission, and wet clutch are lubricated together.

Always check the specifications of the individual product. Do not use random car oil in a motorcycle with a wet clutch, as friction-reducing additives can affect clutch operation.

Change according to the maintenance schedule

Replace the Engine Oil and oil filter according to the prescribed maintenance interval. Short trips, circuit use, high temperatures, and frequent use at high RPMs can put extra strain on the oil.

Check the oil level as prescribed for the engine and never fill above the maximum. Dispose of used Engine Oil at a suitable collection point and prevent oil from entering the soil or drains.
