Detailing Trim Cleaner

Plastic, Rubber, and Tire Cleaner

Remove dirt, grease, and old dressing layers before reconditioning tire sidewalls and plastic

Rubber and unpainted plastic have an open structure where road dirt, old care products, and greasy residues can accumulate. Simply rinsing with water is often insufficient. A specific trim cleaner cleans the surface more thoroughly and provides a clean base for a new dressing.

  • For suitable tire sidewalls, rubber, and plastic
  • Removes dirt, grease, and old dressing residues
  • Prepares the surface for a new dressing
  • Suitable for detailing motorcycles and cars
  • Deep-cleaning formula from D-Con

In this collection, you will find D-Con Tire Rubber Trim Plastic Cleaner. The product is intended for the cleaning step and should not be confused with a tire gel or plastic dressing that leaves a protective or dark finish after cleaning.

Cleaning before applying dressing

New dressing adheres less evenly when old product layers, oil, and dirt are still present on the surface. Thorough cleaning prevents stains and helps distribute the new product evenly.

Repeat cleaning on heavily soiled tire sidewalls until the foam and dirt released clearly decrease.

Apply with a suitable brush

First remove loose sand and rinse off heavy dirt. Apply the cleaner to a suitable brush or directly and controlled onto the surface.

Work the product in gently without unnecessarily touching surrounding paint, brake parts, or sensitive surfaces. Do not let the cleaner dry.

Rinse thoroughly and dry

Rinse off loosened dirt and product residues completely or remove them according to the product instructions. Remaining cleaner can affect the adhesion of the next dressing.

Allow tire sidewalls and plastic to dry completely before applying a gel or dressing.

Be careful around motorcycle tires

Work only on the sidewall when cleaning a motorcycle tire. Avoid spreading cleaner, dirt, or later-applied dressing over the tread.

Clean spills on the tread immediately and thoroughly, and check before use that the tire is completely clean and dry.

Check material compatibility

Test the cleaner first on an inconspicuous spot with unknown plastics, matte finishes, or printed parts.

Use a product specifically developed for paint, carbon, metal, and transparent plastic parts.
