Paddock Stand Bobbins for Stable and Easy Lifting
Give the hooks of your rear paddock stand a fixed mounting position with bobbins that technically fit the swingarm
Paddock stand bobbins are mounted on both sides of the swingarm and provide fixed contact points for a rear paddock stand with C- or V-shaped hooks. This means you don’t have to place the stand directly under the swingarm and can lift the motorcycle in the same position every time.
- Fixed mounting points for a rear paddock stand
- Suitable for C- and V-shaped paddock stand hooks
- Model-specific and thread-specific versions
- Nylon, aluminum, and Stainless steel material combinations
- Bobbins from Evotech Performance and CNC Racing
In this collection, you’ll find paddock stand bobbins for a variety of motorcycles. Some sets screw directly into existing threaded points in the swingarm. Other models use a long mounting axle that runs through the hollow rear axle.
Always check the technical application. The correct bobbin is determined not only by the motorcycle model but also by thread size, thread pitch, required spacer, and available space around the swingarm.
M6, M8, or M10 Thread
Many swingarms have factory-installed mounting points. Common sizes are M6, M8, and M10, but the thread pitch must also match. For example, an M10x1.5 bobbin does not automatically fit every M10 opening.
Never force a bolt if it cannot be smoothly screwed in by hand. The wrong thread size can permanently damage the thread in the swingarm.
Shape and Material
Evotech Performance uses a sandglass-shaped Nylon outer shell with a strong metal inner sleeve in many versions. This shape helps keep the paddock stand hooks centered around the bobbin.
CNC Racing offers machined aluminum bobbins with an anodized finish in various colors. This combines practical function with a subtle visible detail on the swingarm.
Extended and Model-Specific Versions
On some swingarms, the threaded point is recessed or extra clearance is needed to allow the paddock stand hook to move freely past the swingarm. For this, extended bobbins or special spacers are available.
Use only the version developed for the specific mounting position. A bobbin that is too short can be hard to reach, while an unnecessarily long version causes extra leverage on the mounting bolt.
Primarily Intended as Paddock Stand Mounts
Some bobbins may make first contact in a minor slide and thus protect small parts of the swingarm. However, their primary function remains supporting the motorcycle on a paddock stand.
Do not consider them as full crash protectors. Check the bobbins and mounting bolts after a fall or heavy impact and replace any deformed or damaged parts.
Installation and Use
Install both bobbins with the prescribed bolts, spacers, and torque settings. Then adjust the width of the paddock stand so both hooks engage simultaneously and fully.
Before each lifting movement, check that the bobbins are securely fastened. Lift the motorcycle carefully on a flat, hard surface and ensure the hooks do not rest only on the outer edge of the bobbins.
