Carbon injection covers for a sleekly finished engine side
Cover the visible injection and air intake area with model-specific carbon from Ilmberger CarbonParts
On various BMW boxer engines, parts of the injection, throttle bodies, and air intake construction are clearly visible on the side of the engine. Although this technology is functionally interesting, standard plastic covers or open constructions can look visually cluttered. With a carbon injection cover, you give this area a cleaner and more exclusive finish.
- Model-specific cover for the injection and air intake area
- High-quality carbon upgrade for the side of the engine
- Replaces or covers the corresponding original part
- Available in left and right versions
- Carbon parts from Ilmberger CarbonParts
In this collection, you will find injection covers for various BMW models. Depending on the engine, separate left and right parts are offered. The covers follow the shape of the air intake and injection components and connect to surrounding tank, frame, and engine block parts.
The injection cover is primarily an aesthetic upgrade. The part does not change the operation of the fuel injection and is not a tuning module. It is a finishing part that partially covers the visible technology around the injection and air supply.
Carbon on a technically visible area
The side of a boxer engine attracts a lot of attention because the cylinders and surrounding technology protrude far beyond the frame. A carbon injection cover brings more cohesion to this area and can be beautifully combined with cylinder head covers, frame covers, and other carbon parts.
Ilmberger CarbonParts produces model-specific carbon parts with attention to fiber direction, fit, and finish. Depending on the product and engine model, various matte, glossy, or Black Diamond Carbon variants may be available.
Check left and right sides separately
Injection covers are often sold per side. Therefore, always check whether the product price refers to left, right, or a complete set. The shape of both sides can differ due to hoses, connections, and technical components present.
For a fully symmetrical finish, both the left and right covers may be needed. Also, check whether both parts are ordered in the same carbon pattern and finish.
Installation without affecting the injection
The cover must be installed without putting tension on hoses, cables, throttle mechanisms, or other parts. Check in advance whether the original plastic part is completely replaced or if the carbon cover is placed over an existing part.
Use the prescribed mounting points and always install carbon parts without tension. After installation, check whether the throttle cable or electronic throttle control functions freely and whether maintenance points remain accessible. Always select the exact engine model and year of manufacture.
