USB Chargers for Motorcycles – Charge Your Devices on the Go

Power your smartphone, navigation system, and other USB devices while riding

A dead smartphone or navigation unit is never convenient on the road. With a USB charger for your motorcycle, you create a practical power connection that lets you charge compatible devices while riding. In this collection, you’ll find various USB-A and USB-C chargers for fixed mounting, direct connection to the battery, or use via an existing DIN or SAE connection.

  • USB-A and USB-C ports for different devices
  • Fixed mounts and easily removable plug-and-play solutions
  • Options for direct battery, SAE, and DIN connections
  • Single and dual USB outputs available
  • Compact chargers from OptiMate and Evotech Performance

The range includes various USB chargers from OptiMate and Evotech Performance. Depending on the model, the charger connects via M6 rings on the battery terminals, an existing SAE charging cable, a DIN accessory socket, or another suitable power connection on the motorcycle. This allows you to choose a solution that fits the existing wiring and how you want to use the charger.

For occasional use, a separate plug-and-play charger is practical. You only connect it when needed. A fixed USB charger stays mounted on the motorcycle, providing a neat, always-available charging option. There are also dual chargers and splitters that allow multiple compatible devices to be connected.

Choosing USB-A or USB-C

First, check which port your charging cable and device use. USB-A is the traditional rectangular connector still widely used for navigation systems, communication devices, and older smartphones. USB-C is increasingly common for modern phones and other mobile devices.

Pay attention not only to the connector shape but also to the available charging power. The collection includes models with 12 and 16 watts, among others. The device ultimately determines how much power it draws. Higher charging power is especially useful when a smartphone uses relatively more energy during navigation, data connection, and maximum screen brightness.

Fixed Mounting or Connecting to an Existing Port

A USB charger with M6 rings is mounted directly on suitable battery terminals. Route the cable carefully along the frame, keeping it away from hot, sharp, and moving parts. Place the USB port in an accessible spot where it won’t interfere with steering or operating the motorcycle.

If you already have an OptiMate or SAE connection cable on your motorcycle, a matching SAE USB charger can be a simple solution. For motorcycles with a DIN accessory socket, there are chargers that can be installed without permanent modification to the connection.

Check Connection and Power Supply

Not every motorcycle comes standard with the same connector or switched power supply. Therefore, check before ordering how the chosen charger will be connected and whether additional cables are needed. Also consider the position of the connection, the length of the charging cable, and where the device will be mounted on the motorcycle.

Do not use the USB port if the connection or cable is visibly damaged. Protect an unused port from dirt and moisture where possible, and always follow the manufacturer’s installation and usage instructions.
