Tyre Repair for Tubeless Motorcycle Tires on the Road

Seal a common puncture and temporarily reinflate your motorcycle tire

A nail or screw in your motorcycle tire can unexpectedly end any ride. With a compact tyre repair kit for tubeless motorcycle tires, you are better prepared for such a situation. You can temporarily seal a suitable puncture and reinflate the tire, so you are not immediately fully dependent on roadside assistance.

  • Compact emergency solution for tubeless motorcycle tires
  • Repair possible without removing the wheel
  • Suitable for common punctures caused by nails or screws
  • Includes CO₂ cartridges to reinflate the tire
  • Easy to carry in a saddlebag, top case, or backpack

In this collection, you will find the Grypp Cargol Turn & Go tyre repair kit. This compact set combines the materials to seal a suitable puncture in the tread with CO₂ cartridges for reinflating the tire. This means you don’t have to carry a large compressor or extensive workshop tools on the road.

The Grypp Cargol K007 contains two repair plugs, a valve adapter, a protective sleeve, and three 16-gram CO₂ cartridges. The repair plug is made of fiber-reinforced nylon and features a pointed, spiral shape. After removing the object from the tire, the plug is screwed into the puncture. Then the handle is broken off, and the tire can be inflated via the valve adapter using the CO₂ cartridges.

A Practical Emergency Repair for the Road

This tyre repair kit is designed for tubeless tires. These are tires without an inner tube, like those used on many modern motorcycles. The kit is mainly intended for relatively small punctures in the tread, for example, when a nail or screw has gone straight through the tread.

Not every tire damage can be safely repaired on the road. Damage to the sidewall, large tears, tire deformation, or rim damage require professional assessment. The kit is also not suitable for motorcycle tires with an inner tube. Therefore, first check where the puncture is located and what type of tire is mounted on your motorcycle.

Use After the Repair

A repair with a compact tyre repair kit should be seen as a temporary emergency solution. The goal is to be able to continue riding from a safe location to home, a tire service, or a workshop. After inflating, carefully check whether the plug seals well and if the tire maintains sufficient pressure.

The manufacturer advises not to drive faster than 80 km/h after an emergency repair. Also avoid hard acceleration, strong braking, and high cornering speeds. Have the tire professionally inspected as soon as possible to determine whether a permanent repair is possible or if replacement is necessary.

For commuting, touring, and motorcycle holidays, a tyre repair kit is a compact addition to your gear. You hope you won’t need it, but if you get a suitable puncture on the road, the kit can make the difference between continuing independently and waiting roadside for a long time.
