Two-stroke oil for reliable lubrication and cleaner combustion
Protect piston, cylinder, and crankshaft bearings with oil specially developed for two-stroke engines
A two-stroke engine does not use a separate engine oil fill like a traditional four-stroke engine. The two-stroke oil is carried with the fuel and lubricates the moving parts of the engine block during combustion. Therefore, the quality, dosage, and suitability of the oil directly affect lubrication, deposits, and smoke emissions.
- Developed for air- and water-cooled two-stroke engines
- Suitable for mixed lubrication and selected oil pump systems
- Helps protect piston, cylinder, and bearings against wear
- Low-smoke formula for cleaner combustion
- Two-stroke oil from motor lubricant specialist Putoline
This collection includes two-stroke oil for motorcycles, scooters, and other suitable two-stroke applications. Putoline TT Sport 2T is designed for modern two-stroke engines and can be used depending on the vehicle as pre-mixed oil in the gasoline or via a separate oil tank and dosing pump.
Two-stroke oil must fully participate in the combustion process. Therefore, do not use regular four-stroke engine oil as a substitute. It has a different composition and is not designed to be burned together with the fuel.
Mixed lubrication or automatic oil pump
In mixed lubrication, the correct amount of two-stroke oil is manually added to the gasoline. In an automatic system, an oil pump doses the oil from a separate reservoir.
Always check which system your engine uses. Never fill a separate oil tank with pre-mixed gasoline and do not randomly add extra oil to the fuel in a properly functioning automatic system.
Using the correct mixing ratio
A ratio such as 1:50 means one part oil to fifty parts gasoline. The required ratio is determined by the engine block, application, and manufacturer’s specifications.
More oil is not automatically better. Too high a dosage can cause extra smoke and deposits, while too little oil provides insufficient lubrication. Therefore, measure the amount accurately and mix the fuel carefully.
Storage and inspection
Store two-stroke oil in the closed original packaging, protected from moisture, heat, and direct sunlight. Use a clean measuring cup when mixing yourself and prevent sand or dirt from entering the oil or fuel tank.
Regularly check the oil level and lines in an automatic system. Air bubbles, leaks, or a defective oil pump can cause serious engine damage. Have the lubrication system checked if in doubt before continuing to ride.
