WD-40 for Maintenance, Moisture Displacement, and Protection
Loosen stuck parts, displace moisture, and protect suitable metal surfaces against corrosion
WD-40 Multi-Use Product is a versatile maintenance product for the garage, workshop, and on the go. The product penetrates stuck connections, displaces moisture, and leaves a light protective layer on suitable metal surfaces.
- Helps loosen stuck bolts and mechanical parts
- Displaces moisture from suitable metal connections
- Protects metal against rust and corrosion
- Smart Straw for wide or targeted spraying
- Practical 300 ml spray can
The Smart Straw applicator remains attached to the spray can. With the straw up, you can apply the product precisely to a small part. Folded down, a wider mist is used for larger surfaces.
Loosening stuck parts
WD-40 can help with corroded bolts, hinges, cable mechanisms, and other metal connections. Apply the product precisely and allow enough time for it to penetrate the connection.
Then use appropriate tools. Excessive force on a stuck aluminum bolt or thin part can still cause damage.
Displacing moisture
After washing or driving in wet conditions, moisture can accumulate around metal hinge points and connections. WD-40 can help displace moisture in suitable areas.
Do not spray the product unchecked into electronic connectors, sensors, or switches. Use a product specifically developed for sensitive electronics.
Not a full chain lubricant
WD-40 Multi-Use Product is not a substitute for a specific chain lubricant. A drive chain requires a product that adheres long-term and is suitable for the existing O-, X-, or other sealing rings.
Use a dedicated chain wax or chain spray for the chain.
Away from brakes and tires
Avoid any contact with brake discs, brake pads, tire tread, handlebars, saddle, and footrests. A greasy layer can reduce the necessary grip in these areas.
When working around these parts, first spray onto a cloth or use the Smart Straw to prevent overspray.
Use safely
Work in a well-ventilated area and away from fire, sparks, and hot exhaust parts. Store the spray can protected from high temperatures.
Remove excess product with a clean cloth and check the treated part before using the engine.
