Preserve the original wiring harness and create a reliable connection with new accessories
When installing aftermarket turn signals, license plate lights, quickshifters, or charging accessories, the connectors don’t always match the original motorcycle connection. A suitable adapter cable forms the link between both systems and prevents you from having to cut into the original wiring harness unnecessarily.

A model-specific adapter cable often uses the same connector as the original wiring harness. This allows a new part to be connected without removing the original connector. This not only makes the installation tidier but also easier to revert back to original later on.
Always check whether the adapter cable is actually developed for your motorcycle, model year, and accessory. Manufacturers can use different connectors and pin assignments within a single model range.
A turn signal adapter cable provides the physical electrical connection but does not automatically correct the lower current consumption of LED turn signals. If the blink frequency is too high, an electronic flasher relay or a suitable resistor may also be needed.
With quickshifters, the cable is only one part of the system. The sensor, shift direction, electronics, and settings must be suitable for the desired standard or reverse shifting.
