Side Stand

Side Stand Carbon

The side stand allows you to quickly and securely park a motorcycle. A damaged, worn, or improperly fitting stand can cause the motorcycle to lean too upright or too far over. In this collection, you will find side stands and related parts for various motorcycles.

  • For stable and practical motorcycle parking
  • Suitable as a replacement for a damaged original part
  • Model-specific length and mounting
  • Available for standard and modified motorcycle heights
  • Can be combined with springs, switches, and extenders

A stable parking position

The length and angle of the side stand determine how far the motorcycle leans when parked. If the motorcycle stands too upright, it can more easily fall to the other side. With a stand that is too short, the motorcycle leans unnecessarily far over, making it harder to set upright.

A properly fitting side stand ensures a predictable and stable position on a flat, firm surface.

Replacement due to wear or damage

A side stand can bend from a fall, wear at the pivot point, or become damaged from intensive use. The spring and mounting bolt also require attention. Play in the mechanism can cause the stand not to retract tightly against the motorcycle.

When replacing, therefore, check not only the stand itself but also the pivot point, springs, and the existing side stand switch.

Effect of lowering and raising

When a motorcycle is lowered, the original side stand may become too long. After raising the bike with different suspension or longer spring travel, it may become too short. In both cases, the parking angle changes.

For an adjusted ride height, choose a side stand designed for this or one that is adjustable within the required range. The correct length should always be practically checked after installation.

Model-specific mounting

The shape of the pivot point, mounting bolt, spring position, and connection of the safety switch vary per motorcycle. A stand with approximately the same length is therefore not automatically suitable.

Always check the exact model and year of manufacture. Also, see whether mounting hardware, springs, and a switch are included or need to be transferred separately.

Installation and safety check

Side stand springs are under tension. Use appropriate tools and follow the installation instructions to prevent injury or damage. Lubricate the pivot point only with a suitable product.

After installation, check that the stand moves freely, fully retracts, and that the safety switch functions correctly. Test the parking angle on a flat surface before using the motorcycle normally.
