At Ilmberger, the sheets run perfectly straight, the seams between the carbon sheets are barely visible, there are no unattractive black spots in the carbon, and efforts are even made to ensure that the weave pattern flows seamlessly between fairing parts. Ilmberger uses a plastic coating to finish its carbon parts, providing protection against scratches and UV radiation. A layer of clear lacquer is applied over this plastic coating and polished after production for a mirror-smooth, high-gloss finish.
