The K&N PL-1822 is supplied pre-oiled and is ready for use immediately. Install the filter in the original airbox with clean sealing surfaces. After installation, the ECU does not need to be retuned for standard applications. Clean the filter at the recommended intervals with the official K&N cleaning kit, allow it to dry, and reapply oil according to the instructions. This keeps the filter performing like new for years.
Not for standard street use. The PL-1822 is designed as a direct replacement for the OEM filter. With tuning or open exhaust systems, a mapping check may be beneficial.
