The Honda NTV650 RC33, also known as the NTV650 Revere, is a dependable V-twin renowned for its durability. However, its original CDI / ECU ignition unit is often several decades old. As a result, starting difficulties, irregular running, hesitation or complete ignition failure can become increasingly common.
This modern digital CDI / ECU ignition unit from Carmo Electronics has been developed as a direct replacement for the original Honda unit with OEM number 30410-MS9-610. It retains the original fitment and Plug & Play installation while adding modern digital control, improved electrical protection and more precise ignition timing.
Thanks to its optimised ignition advance curve, the engine responds more directly to throttle input and delivers power more smoothly during acceleration. This makes the NTV650 feel more responsive and refined, particularly at low and mid-range engine speeds, without changing the original character of the motorcycle.
This unit can also make a noticeable difference when starting the engine. During starting, the CDI activates a dedicated starting mode that temporarily controls the ignition coil to produce a stronger spark.
