The Ducati 848EVO is an Italian sports motorcycle with real character. This Discacciati Racing disc replaces the original front disc on the right-hand side and has the same 320 mm diameter.
The 6 mm version is aimed at track use, where the disc works harder for longer and extra mass helps absorb heat. Because it is thicker, you need thinner track pads that fit within the available space in the caliper; this is a condition for fitting.
Rotor and carrier are separate parts joined in a floating design. Discs wear and can distort if abused, so check thickness regularly and replace discs and pads in good time.
Discacciati Brake Systems designs and manufactures brake components in Italy. The brand has been active in the top classes of racing since 1989 and works with the Politecnico di Milano, the technical university of Milan. That mix of track experience and engineering knowledge shows in the CNC machining and finish of every part.
Always fit new discs with new pads and degrease the disc before fitting. Bed them in gently over the first miles so disc and pads wear in together. Use the bolts with the correct torque and thread locker as specified by the motorcycle manufacturer.
GeGShop is the Discacciati importer and helps you choose the right parts for your motorcycle. If you have questions about fitment, combining parts or fitting, get in touch. We look at the complete brake system so that all parts work well together.
Brake parts are safety-critical. Have them fitted by a qualified mechanic, use fresh brake fluid to the manufacturer’s specification and check correct operation before riding.
