Fuel Tank grip pads for more support and control on the motorcycle
Use your knees and legs more effectively during acceleration, braking, and cornering with model-specific grip pads
Fuel Tank grip pads are applied to the left and right sides of the fuel tank or tank panels. The textured surface provides more grip for your pants, allowing you to better support yourself with your legs during braking, acceleration, and cornering.
- More grip between motorcycle clothing and fuel tank
- Can help reduce strain on arms and wrists
- Model-specific left and right sets
- Available in black and transparent versions
- Fuel Tank grips from EaziGrip and Evotech Performance
In this collection, you will find fuel tank grip pads for sportbikes, naked bikes, adventure motorcycles, and various other models. The pads are tailored to the available contact area for the knees and follow the shape of the respective fuel tank or side panels.
Fuel Tank grip pads should not be confused with a central tank pad. A tank pad mainly protects the rear center of the fuel tank from a zipper, while grip pads are mounted on both sides for extra grip.
More support during braking
When braking hard, body weight shifts forward. With sufficient grip against the fuel tank, you can absorb some of this force with your knees and thighs.
This means you don’t have to hold yourself back as much through the handlebars. This can help keep your arms looser and maintain more precise steering.
EaziGrip EVO in black or transparent
EaziGrip EVO fuel tank grip pads have a clearly textured surface and are supplied as a model-specific set for left and right. Black pads give the motorcycle a distinctly sporty look.
Transparent versions largely allow the original paint color and graphics to remain visible. On light paint or complex decals, the edge of a transparent pad may still be visible depending on light and dirt.
Evotech Performance fuel tank grips
Evotech Performance uses a relatively thin, textured pad that is model-specifically shaped around the lines of the fuel tank. The self-adhesive backing allows installation without drilling or mechanical fasteners.
Besides grip, the pads also provide a contact layer between motorcycle clothing and the underlying surface, helping to limit daily wear and use marks.
Carefully prepare the surface
Thoroughly clean the mounting area and remove wax, sealant, oil, and silicone. The surface must be completely dry and at a suitable temperature before applying the pads.
First determine the position with the protective film still on the adhesive layer. Then apply the pad slowly from one side and press the entire surface evenly.
Mounting on paint, plastic, or carbon
Check whether the pad is suitable for the surface present. Depending on the model, it may have painted fuel tank parts, plastic panels, or carbon covers.
Allow the adhesive layer to bond sufficiently after installation before washing the motorcycle or subjecting it to heavy use. Remove an old pad slowly and with controlled heat to avoid unnecessary damage to paint or coating.
