Carbon tank covers for an exclusive and sporty finish
Give the central and most visible part of the motorcycle a high-quality carbon look
The fuel tank is located directly in front of the rider and determines a large part of the visible shape of the motorcycle. With a model-specific carbon tank cover, you replace or cover a standard plastic or painted part with real carbon. This immediately creates a sportier and more technical appearance.
- Model-specific carbon covers for the fuel tank
- Large central or upper tank parts
- Versions from Ilmberger CarbonParts and CNC Racing
- Matte and glossy finishes available
- Mounting on existing points for suitable models
In this collection, you will find tank covers for BMW and Ducati models, among others. Some covers replace an original plastic part. Other versions are mounted over an existing part of the tank and mainly change the visible surface finish.
Therefore, always check whether the product is a replacement part or an outer cover. The original metal or plastic fuel tank remains intact with this product group.
A large visible carbon surface
A tank cover is continuously in the rider’s field of vision. The carbon pattern and finish therefore have a significant impact on the overall appearance of the cockpit and top of the motorcycle.
Preferably combine the cover with parts in the same pattern and gloss level, such as air filter box covers, frame covers, side panels, and a carbon tank cap ring.
Ilmberger CarbonParts for BMW and Ducati
Ilmberger CarbonParts offers model-specific tank covers for various BMW and Ducati models. The parts are made from prepreg carbon and cured under controlled conditions in an autoclave.
For Ducati models, the pattern and finish match the look of Ducati Performance carbon. Depending on the product, matte, glossy, and selected Black Diamond Carbon versions are available.
CNC Racing carbon tank covers
CNC Racing offers, among others, matte carbon tank covers for various Ducati models. These parts combine a model-specific fit with a sleek finish around the tank cap, seat, and surrounding fairing parts.
Check whether mounting materials, rubbers, and any self-adhesive parts are included or if original parts need to be reused.
Fit around tank cap and seat
A tank cover must fit precisely around the tank cap, front of the seat, and adjacent fairing parts. First loosely mount all fasteners before tightening them definitively.
The tank cap must remain fully accessible and lockable. Also check whether the seat can be removed and mounted without pressure against the carbon.
No replacement of the fuel tank
A tank cover itself does not contain fuel and does not take over the structural function of the original tank. The product is mainly a finishing part and can, depending on the shape, offer slight protection against superficial wear.
Always mount carbon stress-free and do not use aggressive glue, sealant, or fasteners not prescribed by the manufacturer.
