Paddock Stands for Safe Motorcycle Maintenance and Storage
Keep the motorcycle stable and upright for chain maintenance, cleaning, wheel work, and storage
A paddock stand lifts the front or rear wheel off the ground and holds the motorcycle upright without using the Side Stands & Accessories. This makes it easier to clean and lubricate the chain, rotate the rear wheel, or store the motorcycle compactly and upright in the garage.

This collection features various rear paddock stands from Lightech. The range includes compact lightweight models, extra reinforced versions, and modular stands that can be more easily disassembled for transport or storage.
The best paddock stand depends on the motorcycle, its use, and the available mounting points. A stand for paddock stand bobbins uses different hooks than a version placed directly under the swingarm.
V-hooks for Paddock Stand Bobbins
V-shaped hooks grip under the bobbins mounted on both sides of the swingarm. This provides a clear and repeatable mounting position and is widely used on sport motorcycles and at the track.
Check if the swingarm has suitable threaded points and use bobbins with the correct thread size. The width of the paddock stand must be properly adjusted to the position of the bobbins.
L-supports for the Swingarm
If the motorcycle has no mounting points for bobbins, suitable rubber L-supports can be placed directly under the swingarm. The contact surface must be flat, sturdy, and free of brake lines, weld seams, or other protruding parts.
Not every swingarm shape is suitable for universal L-supports. Check beforehand whether the motorcycle can be mounted stably and symmetrically.
Two or Four Wheels
A traditional paddock stand usually uses two wheels around the pivot point. A version with four wheels can offer a different rolling motion and more contact points with the floor. Which design you prefer depends, among other things, on the workspace and how often the stand is transported.
Always use a paddock stand on a flat, hard, and clean surface. An uneven floor or loose gravel can cause the wheels to roll unpredictably.
Safe Lifting
Before lifting, check that both hooks are correctly positioned under the bobbins or swingarm. Keep the motorcycle upright, apply the lifting motion smoothly, and ensure the stand is fully in its end position.
If you have little experience, it is wise to work with a second person the first few times. Do not sit on the motorcycle while it is supported only by a paddock stand, and do not perform tasks that require additional support.
