Clutch Plates

Clutch Plates for Reliable Grip and Power Transmission

Repair or upgrade the clutch with a plate set that fits exactly the type of clutch and engine

Clutch plates transfer the engine torque in a controlled manner to the gearbox. The set usually consists of lined friction plates and steel intermediate plates that are pressed together by the pressure plate. Due to use, heat, and friction, these parts wear out, causing the clutch to eventually slip or engage less smoothly.

  • Plate sets for dry and wet Ducati clutches
  • Choice of organic and sintered friction plates
  • Original 12-tooth and EVR 48-tooth configurations
  • Individual plate sets and complete kits with clutch basket
  • Technical clutch parts from Edo Vigna Racing

In this collection, you will find clutch plate sets from EVR for various Ducati engines and clutch systems. The range includes plates for wet clutches, individual organic 48-tooth sets, and complete systems with basket, sintered plates, and steel intermediate plates.

A set must always be chosen based on the exact type of clutch. A 48-tooth plate set does not fit in an original 12-tooth basket, and a set for a standard clutch is not automatically suitable for a slipper clutch.

Organic or Sintered Clutch Plates

Organic plates are often chosen for smooth, well-controllable engagement and are suitable for many street applications. Sintered plates are developed for a different combination of friction, heat load, and usage.

Which version fits best depends on the clutch and the manufacturer's specifications. Do not choose solely based on the idea that sintered is always better or sportier. The complete system must be developed for the specific plate material.

12-Tooth and 48-Tooth Dry Clutches

In traditional Ducati dry clutches, the tabs of the friction plates engage with the basket. An EVR 48-tooth system distributes this contact over more and smaller teeth than a traditional 12-tooth version.

Switching to 48 teeth requires not only a different plate set but also a matching clutch basket. Complete EVR kits combine these parts so that the gearing fits together technically.

Total Package Thickness and Assembly Order

The total thickness of the plate set is essential for the clutch’s operation. The order of lined plates, steel plates, and any special or crowned plates must also be followed exactly.

Check the clutch basket and hub for impact marks and wear before installing new plates. Soak wet friction plates in the prescribed engine oil beforehand if stated in the assembly instructions. When in doubt, have the assembly done by a clutch specialist.
