At Ilmberger, the sheets run neatly straight, the seams between the carbon sheets are barely visible, there are no unattractive black spots in the carbon, and efforts are even made to ensure that the weave pattern flows seamlessly between fairing parts. Ilmberger uses a plastic coating to finish its carbon parts, protecting them against scratches and UV radiation. This plastic coating is covered with a layer of clear lacquer, which is polished after production for a mirror-smooth high-gloss finish.
