Carbon front fenders for protection and a sporty look
Replace the original plastic fender with a model-specific carbon part that fits the front fork, wheel, and brake system
The front fender follows the shape of the front wheel and helps prevent water, sand, and road debris from being thrown directly toward the radiator, engine, and rider. Because the part is mounted centrally above the front wheel, it also has a significant impact on the appearance of the front end.
- Model-specific carbon front fenders
- Versions in original, short, and Racing shapes
- Prepreg carbon from Ilmberger CarbonParts
- Matte, glossy, and selected BDC finishes
- Mounting on existing attachment points for suitable models
This collection includes carbon front fenders for various sport, naked, and adventure motorcycles. The shape is tailored to the specific front fork, tire size, brake lines, and brake calipers present.
Always check whether the product is intended as a direct replacement for the original fender or is part of a Racing setup with different brake or fork components.
Original shape or short front fender
A front fender in the original shape largely retains the dimensions and coverage of the standard part. This keeps the practical protection against splashing water and dirt comparable to the original configuration.
A short version emphasizes a sporty look and reveals more of the front wheel and fork. Due to the more compact shape, protection against splashing dirt may be more limited.
Racing and SBK versions
A Racing or SBK front fender may be developed for specific brake calipers, brake disc diameters, brake ducts, or circuit fairings. Therefore, this version does not automatically fit a standard street motorcycle.
Check which fork, brake calipers, and wheel configuration are specified. Additional mounting parts may be required for a complete Racing setup.
Prepreg carbon from the autoclave
Ilmberger CarbonParts manufactures the front fenders from prepreg carbon. The pre-impregnated carbon layers are precisely placed in the mold and cured under controlled pressure and temperature in the autoclave.
This results in a lightweight, dimensionally stable, and ready-to-mount part. The protective surface finish highlights the carbon structure and helps protect the material against weather and UV exposure.
Clearance around tire and brakes
After installation, sufficient space must remain between the fender, tire, brake lines, and brake calipers. Check this across the full width of the tire and with the front suspension fully compressed.
A different tire size, wider carcass, or other brake components can change the available space. The fender must not touch any rotating or moving parts.
Installation without stress
Use all original or supplied rubbers, spacers, and fasteners. First, loosely fit all bolts before tightening the fender securely.
Never force carbon to a mounting point that does not align correctly. After installation and after the first ride, check that all fastenings are firmly secured.
