Customize your motorcycle cockpit with suitable handlebars, clip-ons, handlebar grips, Bar-End Weights, and lever protectors
The parts around the handlebar directly affect the control, riding position, and appearance of the motorcycle. A different handlebar or a set of clip-ons can change the ergonomics, while handlebar grips, Bar-End Weights, and lever protectors each serve their own practical or protective function.
In this collection, you will find both Universal and model-specific handlebar parts. Universal does not mean that a part fits every motorcycle without verification. Diameters, thread, available space, and the construction of the original handlebar remain decisive.
Therefore, check not only the motorcycle model for each product but also the technical dimensions and the combination with already installed accessories.
Clip-ons clamp directly around the front fork tubes and consist of separate left and right handlebar halves. They are widely used on sport motorcycles and, in suitable versions, offer options to adjust angle and position.
The clamp diameter must exactly match the outer diameter of the fork at the mounting position. Common sizes in the range are 50 and 53 mm, but other sizes and model-specific constructions also occur.
Motorcycle handlebar grips must fit the left handlebar side and the throttle tube on the right side. Therefore, the inner diameter is not the same on both sides.
When mounting, check that the throttle returns independently and without resistance after release. Use only suitable grip glue and avoid getting glue between the throttle tube and the handlebar.
Bar-End Weights close off the handlebar ends and can influence noticeable handlebar vibrations depending on mass and construction. Additionally, they serve as the mounting point for selected bar-end mirrors and lever protectors.
Check whether the handlebar uses internal threading, an expansion adapter, or a model-specific mounting. A light aluminum bar-end does not automatically have the same vibration-damping effect as a heavy original Bar-End Weight.
A brake lever protector helps prevent the front brake lever from being unintentionally pressed during direct contact. Clutch lever protectors provide a corresponding finish on the left side and can offer light contact protection.
Check the free space around levers, hand covers, and bar-end mirrors. The levers must be able to move freely through their full travel.
Handlebar clamps and risers can change the mounting position or height of the handlebar. After each adjustment, check the length and routing of brake lines, cables, and electrical wiring.
Tighten all load-bearing handlebar parts to the prescribed torque. Before use, check the full handlebar movement, throttle operation, switches, and the function of brake and clutch.
