When original mirrors are removed, visible threaded holes or open mounting points often remain in the fairing. Mirror Blanking Plates neatly cover these positions and ensure a tidy finish. Depending on the motorcycle, you use compact cover bolts on the handlebars or larger model-specific cover plates on the front fairing.

Mirror Blanking Plates are often used in combination with bar-end mirrors or in a track setup where the original mirrors are temporarily removed.
With handlebar mirrors, a threaded opening usually remains in the brake or clutch reservoir, mirror holder, or separate handlebar clamp after removal. An aluminum cover bolt fills this opening and prevents the mounting point from remaining visibly unfinished.
Common sizes are M8, M10x1.25, and M10x1.5. Additionally, the thread can be left- or right-handed. Check both sides separately, as some motorcycles use different thread directions on the left and right.
On sportbikes, the mirrors are often mounted with multiple bolts through the front fairing or fairing bracket. Model-specific cover plates close these larger mounting openings.
