Adjustable Brake and Shift Sets for Control and a Sporty Riding Position

Adjust the position of footpegs, brake pedal, and shift pedal to fit your body type and riding style

The original footpeg position is a compromise designed to suit many riders. However, during sporty riding or track use, a higher, lower, or further back position can provide more support, ground clearance, and control. With an adjustable brake and shift set, you can better tailor the foot controls to your preference.

  • Adjustable position in height and length
  • Choice of fixed or foldable footpegs
  • Versions for standard and race shifting
  • CNC-machined aluminum construction
  • Brake and shift sets from Lightech and CNC Racing

In this collection, you will find complete brake and shift sets for sportbikes, naked bikes, and other performance-oriented models. Depending on the product, footpegs, shift and brake levers, heelplates, shift rods, and mounting hardware are supplied as a complete set.

Other versions are modular. Here, you assemble the desired configuration with separate footpegs, toe pegs, heelplates, or other options. Always check the exact scope of delivery.

Adjusting the Riding Position

A higher and further back footpeg can provide more ground clearance when leaning. A lower or less extreme setting can be more comfortable during longer rides.

Change the position step by step and check if you can comfortably operate the brake and shift pedals without twisting your foot unnaturally. Also maintain sufficient clearance from the exhaust, swingarm, and fairing parts.

Fixed or Foldable Footpegs

Fixed footpegs offer direct and rigid support. Foldable footpegs can move upward upon contact with the ground or a light fall.

Your choice depends on use, preference, and any track regulations. Also check whether replacement footpegs and wear parts are available separately.

Standard Shifting or Race Shifting

With standard shifting, first gear is selected downwards and the other gears upwards. With race shifting, also called GP shift, this movement is reversed.

Not every brake and shift set supports both shifting patterns. The operation of a quickshifter can also change when the movement direction is reversed. Therefore, check the sensor configuration, shift rod, and product specifications.

Rear Brake and Brake Light Switch

When installing, the rear brake master cylinder must be correctly aligned and sufficient free play maintained. Depending on the set, the original mechanical brake light switch is retained or a hydraulic pressure switch is required.

After installation, check that brake and shift pedals move freely, all connections are secured, and the rear brake functions correctly. If in doubt, have the installation performed by an experienced mechanic.
