Brake Caliper Cooling

Carbon Brake Caliper Cooling for More Consistent Braking Performance

Direct airflow toward brake calipers and pads with functional GP brake ducts from racing

During repeated and strong braking, a large part of the kinetic energy is converted into heat. The temperature rises in the brake discs, pads, pistons, and calipers. When the system gets too hot, braking performance and the pressure point can feel less consistent.

  • Targeted airflow to front brake calipers and pads
  • Developed for heavy thermal loads
  • Lightweight Carbon construction
  • Available in matte and glossy finishes
  • GP Brake Air Ducts from CNC Racing

This collection features Carbon brake cooling from CNC Racing. The aerodynamically shaped ducts capture riding wind and direct it toward the critical area around the front brake caliper and pad.

The products combine a distinct GP look with a technical function. Besides standard versions, there are special editions with integrated Pramac Racing details.

Why use brake caliper cooling?

During normal street use, a well-maintained brake system usually has enough time to dissipate heat. However, on the track, long descents, and repeated hard braking, the thermal load can be much greater.

Additional airflow around the brake caliper and pads can help slow down temperature buildup. The ultimate effect depends on speed, ambient temperature, brake system, and riding style.

Part of the complete brake system

Brake cooling does not replace good brake pads, fresh brake fluid, suitable brake discs, or properly maintained calipers. All components must be technically sound and matched to each other.

If there are issues with fading or a changing pressure point, first check whether the brake fluid, pads, discs, and calipers are appropriate and correctly installed.

Model-specific mounting kit required

The Carbon ducts are not universally mounted directly on every motorcycle. A mounting kit is needed that fits the motorcycle model, fork type, brake caliper, and the existing brake discs.

Always check whether the required mounting kit is included with the ducts or must be ordered separately. Different versions of the same motorcycle may have different front forks and therefore require different kits.

Clearance and mounting check

After installation, brake lines, caliper, disc, and front wheel must remain completely free. Check the clearance both when the wheel is straight and during maximum steering lock and full front suspension travel.

Install Carbon parts without stress and regularly check the fastenings. Due to the critical position around brakes and front wheel, installation by specialized personnel is recommended.
