Oil Filler Cap

Oil Filler Caps for a High-Quality and Functional Engine Finish

Replace the standard plastic cap with a model-specific CNC-machined part in the shape and color that suits your motorcycle

The oil filler cap seals the fill opening of the engine lubrication system and is often located in a highly visible spot on the engine block. The original plastic cap is functional but doesn’t always match a motorcycle equipped with high-quality CNC parts. An aluminum oil filler cap adds a compact yet clearly visible detail.

  • Model-specific replacement of the original oil filler cap
  • CNC-machined from solid aluminum or Ergal7075
  • Anodized finish in various colors
  • Gear, Corse, and Exagon designs available
  • Versions with locking thread hole or integrated dipstick

In this collection, you’ll find oil filler caps from CNC Racing for various motorcycle brands and engine blocks. The range includes low-profile and subtle Gear versions, sporty Corse caps, and compact Exagon models with a central hex socket.

Not every cap has the same thread or function. Always check the exact motorcycle model, year of manufacture, thread size, and whether an original oil dipstick is present.

Gear, Corse, or Exagon

The Gear version features a low profile that sits flush with the engine block. The Corse version has a more visible shape and is available in several variants with a hole for locking wire.

The Exagon version combines a compact design with operation via a matching hex key. This version is also prepared for locking wire use on selected models. Available colors vary by design and thread size.

With or Without Oil Dipstick

On some motorcycles, the original oil filler cap also includes the dipstick used to check the oil level. In that case, the replacement cap must retain the same function or the oil level must be measurable in another prescribed way.

Therefore, do not choose solely based on thread size. Explicitly check whether the new cap comes with or without a dipstick.

Sealing Ring and Locking Wire

Depending on the version, the original sealing ring is reused or a suitable seal is included. Check the O-ring for cracks, deformation, and drying out, and replace it if it no longer seals properly.

A pre-drilled hole allows the cap to be secured with locking wire when required for track use. The wire must be attached to a fixed point and routed so that it applies tension to prevent the cap from loosening.

Proper Tightening

Do not overtighten an aluminum oil filler cap. The sealing ring provides the seal; excessive tightening can damage the cap, O-ring, or threads.

After installation and the first ride, check for oil traces around the fill opening. Only open the cap when the engine block has sufficiently cooled down.
