Carbon Air Intakes and Panels for Performance and Style

Replace standard plastic air ducts and intake panels with model-specific carbon that matches your motorcycle’s design

Air Intakes form the transition between outside air and the engine’s intake system. At the same time, the openings, ducts, and surrounding panels are often striking design elements in the upper fairing or side of the motorcycle. With a carbon Air Intake or intake panel, you give this area a technical and exclusive finish.

  • Model-specific Air Intakes and finishing panels
  • Options for upper fairing parts, side ducts, and inner panels
  • Prepreg carbon from Ilmberger CarbonParts
  • Carbon sets and panels from CNC Racing
  • Matte, glossy, and Black Diamond Carbon finishes

The products in this collection do not all serve exactly the same function. Some parts form an actual air duct that directs intake air toward the air filter box. Other products are covers or panels mounted around the original Air Intake.

Always check whether the product replaces a functional intake part or is mainly a visible finishing piece. The impact on airflow and engine performance can vary greatly depending on the part.

Air Intake in the Upper Fairing

On sport motorcycles, the central Air Intake is often located in the front fairing. This opening directs air toward the airbox and is an important part of the nose’s design.

A model-specific carbon replacement part maintains the required shape and fit but gives the front a higher-quality material finish. For track motorcycles, check whether the part is suitable for the street fairing or only for a specific Racing fairing.

Side Panels and Inner Panels

On adventure and naked bikes, Air Intake zones often consist of multiple panels. As a result, left, right, inner, and outer parts can be offered separately.

Check carefully which section is being replaced and whether you need multiple parts for a complete finish. Preferably order all parts in the same carbon pattern and finish.

Aesthetic Upgrade or Functional Intake Part

A visible Air Intake panel is usually chosen mainly for its appearance and possible weight savings compared to the original plastic part. An actual air duct also has a technical function within the air supply.

Do not expect power gains when only an outer panel is replaced. Demonstrable changes depend on the shape of the complete intake system, the air filter box, filters, and engine tuning.

Installation and Sealing

A functional air duct must fit correctly with the surrounding fairing parts and air filter box. Gaps, cracks, or incorrectly placed seals can allow unwanted warm or unfiltered air to enter.

Install carbon parts without tension and check whether original rubbers, seals, and fasteners are reused. Always select the exact motorcycle model, version, and year of manufacture.
