Heelplates for Protection and a Sporty Finish
Replace standard heelplates with model-specific carbon that visibly enhances the footrest area
The heelplates are located next to the footrests and prevent your boot from coming into direct contact with moving, hot, or dirty parts. At the same time, these heelplates are clearly visible around the brake-shift set and the rear of the engine. With a carbon heelplate, you combine this practical function with an exclusive and sporty look.
- Helps limit contact with moving and hot parts
- Model-specific shape for the original footrest position
- Available as separate left and right parts or complete sets
- Available in various carbon patterns and finishes
- Versions from Ilmberger CarbonParts, CNC Racing, and AviaCompositi
This collection includes heelplates, heel guards, and heelplates for various sportbikes, naked bikes, and adventure motorcycles. Depending on the bike, the part protects the heel from contact with the exhaust, swingarm, chain area, or moving parts of the brake and shift controls.
The available products consist of separate left and right parts and complete sets. Always check the scope of delivery, as left and right are often sold as two separate products for many models.
Functional Protection with a Carbon Look
The main technical function of a heelplate is to create a solid barrier between the motorcycle boot and surrounding parts. The part must therefore provide enough space for the foot and must not hinder the operation of the brake or shift pedal.
Carbon also gives the footrest area a clearly higher-quality appearance. Especially in combination with a carbon rear fender, swingarm cover, or frame cover, it creates a cohesive look around the rear section of the motorcycle.
Different Carbon Variants
The range includes both classic carbon weaves and Black Diamond Carbon. Depending on the brand and version, matte and glossy variants are available. Preferably choose the same pattern and finish as the other carbon parts.
For Ducati models, the Ilmberger CarbonParts versions match the look of Ducati Performance carbon. Older or specific motorcycles may also be equipped with heelplates from CNC Racing or AviaCompositi.
Original or Aftermarket Footrests
Before ordering, check whether the heelplate is designed for the original footrest bracket or for a specific aftermarket brake-shift set. The mounting points and spacing may differ. A product that fits the original set is not automatically suitable for an adjustable brake-shift set.
Install the part without tension and check whether bolts, spacers, and washers need to be reused. After installation, the brake pedal, shift pedal, and foot must be able to move freely. After the first ride, check that all fastenings are still secure.
