The frame forms the technical base of the motorcycle and is clearly visible on many models between the tank, engine block, and rear section. Standard plastic panels or simply finished frame parts can therefore stand out strongly. With a model-specific carbon frame cover, you give this central area a more exclusive and sportier appearance.
In this collection, you will find carbon frame covers from Ilmberger CarbonParts among others. Depending on the motorcycle, these can be triangular frame panels, small finishing parts, or larger left and right covers. Some products replace an original plastic part, while others are mounted over an existing frame section or panel.
The available version varies by model. In addition to matte and glossy carbon finishes, Black Diamond Carbon versions are also available for selected applications. For a cohesive result, we recommend choosing the same carbon pattern and finish as the other carbon parts on the motorcycle.
A frame cover is primarily a visual upgrade. The part does not change the load-bearing structure of the frame but gives a prominently visible area a higher-quality finish. Because the covers are often located directly under the tank or next to the seat, you can see the difference both when the motorcycle is stationary and when mounting it.
A cover also forms an extra layer over the covered surface. This helps protect the original part better against light wear, dirt, and contact with motorcycle clothing. However, a carbon frame cover is not a crash protector and is not designed to absorb heavy impact in a fall.
Always check how the chosen frame cover is mounted. Some versions replace a standard plastic panel and use the original mounting points. Other covers are attached to the existing part with mounting tape, adhesive, or additional fasteners.
For an adhesive version, the mounting surface must be completely clean, dry, and grease-free. First, fit the cover without glue or permanent tape to check the position. For a replacement part, original rubbers, clips, or fasteners may need to be transferred.
Frame covers are often sold separately as left or right parts. Therefore, check whether the product price refers to one side or a complete set. Small and large covers for the same motorcycle can also be separate products.
Always select the exact motorcycle model, version, and model year. A different subframe, tank panel, or fairing part can change the shape and mounting. Always install carbon parts without tension and use only the prescribed tightening torque.
