For those who want to upgrade their Tesla Model S facelift (model years 2017–2021) with one of the most advanced carbon wheel sets on the market, there is now the BST GT TEK. This set was originally developed for the wider Model S Plaid (2022+), but with a few modifications, it can also be made to fit the Model S / Long Range and Performance versions from the facelift era. Please note: this fitment requires specialist knowledge and is entirely at your own risk.

The 2017–2021 Model S shares its basic construction with earlier models, but has wider OEM wheels than the pre-facelift version. However, the wheel arches and suspension are not identical to those of the Plaid. Without modification, the wider BST wheel set will rub or sit too deeply inside the wheel arch.
The following measures may be necessary for correct fitment:
- Use of wheel spacers to correct the offset and position the wheels more in line with the bodywork
- Installation of extended wheel bolts or studs for a safe thread length (at least 7 full turns required)

Check for rubbing when steering (front) and during suspension compression (rear)
- With air suspension: avoid lowering to the lowest setting during daily driving
Important: this wheel set was developed for a wider chassis. Fitment on other models is entirely at your own risk. We always recommend performing a test fit first and having the installation carried out by a Tesla specialist.

Q&A - frequently asked questions
Does this fit without spacers?
No. Without spacers, the wheels will not sit correctly in the wheel arch and may rub, especially when steering or with the suspension loaded.
Can I choose from multiple finishes?
Yes, the BST GT TEK wheels can be personalized according to your preferences in both finish and color. As standard, they are supplied in classic Twill woven carbon, with a transparent coating that beautifully accentuates the depth of the carbon weave. For those looking for something unique, there is also the option of an exclusive Forged Carbon version - recognizable by its marbled look with more organic lines.
There are three possible surface finishes: high-gloss, matte or satin (silk gloss / semi-gloss). Each finish highlights the carbon in a different way - from bold and glossy to understated and tactile. The standard color is 'Black', in other words carbon with a transparent clear coat, but for extra character you can choose a tinted coating in Gold, Red, Green, Blue or even a striking Chameleon finish, in which the carbon changes color depending on the light.
In all cases, an ink coating is used, allowing the structure of the carbon weave to remain clearly visible while adding extra depth and an attractive color.

Is this safe to use?
Only if correctly installed with suitable spacers and extended bolts. Always consult a specialist.
Is this supported by Tesla?
The use of non-original wheels with a different offset is not supported by Tesla. Installation is your own responsibility.
Is this legal?
Yes, the wheels are fully certified for road use. However, ensure that the complete installation is carried out in accordance with local regulations.
