LOCTITE® SF 7200 is a high-quality, amber-colored gasket remover in aerosol form. This professional formula is designed to loosen cured chemical gaskets and sealant residue from metal surfaces - without the need for aggressive scraping. The foaming film adheres well, even to vertical surfaces, and prevents the product from running off, allowing it to work effectively on the seal.
Applications
Specially designed for use on aluminum, cast iron, and other metal flanges, where traditional scraping can damage the surface. Suitable for removing anaerobic and silicone sealants, as well as stubborn residues such as dried oil, grease, varnish, or carbon deposits on metal parts.
Use
- Protect painted parts from overspray; LOCTITE SF 7200 attacks paint.
- Spray a generous layer onto the surface from a distance of approximately 20–30 cm.
- Allow the product to work for 10–15 minutes (approximately 30 minutes for silicone gaskets).
- Remove residue with a soft plastic scraper and clean the flange with LOCTITE® 7063 or a suitable degreaser.
